Passion is a powerful thingn and sometimes, a scary one!!! But walking around with a dream in your heart and never pursuing it? That’s even scarier!! 

In July 2012, I followed a quiet nudge in my heart and brought in a small collection of women’s clothing and gifts to a tiny corner of our family pharmacy. I had 400 square feet, a $2,500 budget, and a whole lot of faith!!!!

What started as a little corner of women’s clothing and gifts quickly took over the entire pharmacy. About 8 months later, my husband, Dustin, looked at me and said, “Shannon, it’s time to give "this"  a place of its own, or you have to scale back!”

With lots of prayer and a whole lot of faith, Lavish Boutique opened its doors next door to our family  pharmacy in June 2013. God aligned every step in working it out for Lavish to be located right next door.

In 2014, our online store launched, allowing us to reach women far beyond our hometown. Looking back, gosh, I never dreamed where God was taking us!

In August 2018, we opened our second location in Cullman’s Warehouse District. Again, God opened doors! As Lavish continued to grow, we moved the Cullman location just a few doors down in 2022, expanding into a beautiful new space and doubling our retail space.

That same year, we moved our warehouse operations to a larger space to support our growing online business. Live selling also became a huge part of the Lavish story. What began as selling clothing through a screen became a place to connect, laugh, encourage one another, and build genuine friendships. It grew into an online community and sisterhood that reaches women across the country.

Then came 2026, another incredible season of growth for Lavish. Within just weeks of one another, we moved into a brand-new, much larger warehouse facility and relocated our Jasper flagship store into a beautiful new building with more than 5,000 square feet of space. Taking on both moves so close together was a HUGE undertaking, but it was also a powerful reminder of just how far this little dream had come and how BIG our God is!

 Often, I look around at what began in one tiny, 400-square-foot corner and has grown into two storefronts, a thriving online and live-shopping community, and more than I ever could have imagined!!!

But you see, there is something this story doesn't tell you.

It doesn't tell you about a few years prior of the single young mom who was living paycheck to paycheck, eating ramen noodles and cereal, wondering week after week how she was going to make ends meet.

It doesn't tell you about all the moments of uncertainty, the failures, the bad decisions, the hard seasons, and the times I had no idea what was going to happen next. When I look back over my life now, I can see something even bigger than all the hard work. I see GOD!! 

I give God ALL the glory for every blessing in my life, for every door He has opened, every opportunity He has placed in front of me, and every person He has brought into my life!!!

Lavish has always been a family business in every sense of the word. My kids grew up in these spaces. They have watched the early mornings, the late nights, the busy seasons, the moves, the growth, the hard days, and the celebrations. They have been a part of this journey in ways they may not have fully understood at the time.

Today, my kids are grown young adults, and one of the things I am most grateful for is that Lavish gave them a front-row seat to learning the value of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and sometimes, lots of sacrifice.

They got to see that dreams don't just happen. You have to work for them. You have to show up. You have to keep going when things don't go according to plan. And you have to be willing to sacrifice for the things that matter.

So when I look around at Lavish today, I don't just see clothing stores, a warehouse, or an online business. I see Amazing people he has brought into my life!! 

Lavish has always been about more than selling women's clothing. It is about creating a place where women feel welcomed, seen, encouraged, confident, and beautiful. We cherish every relationship we build because loving people well is not simply something we say. It is the heartbeat of everything we do!! 

This dream may have started in my heart, but it has grown through the love, hard work, prayers, and support of so many people. It belongs to every team member who has poured their time, talent, and heart into Lavish, and to every customer who has supported us, prayed for us, encouraged us, and helped make this journey possible!!
